COSMOS Course Descriptions
ANSE Academic -- An overview of the SMS (Student Marketing System) Undergraduate Admissions data using the ANSE (Admission & New Student Enrollment) Academic role in COSMOS. The ANSE Academic course is a view only session so there is no updating of data involved. Users are shown how to find out if an applicant has been admitted to the UA, for which academic period and for which program of study. Additionally, users are shown where to find related admission information like previous schools, high school transcripts, test scores, etc.
Contacts -- Contacts are one of the primary functions of COSMOS, through which communication with an entity (i.e. prospect, applicant, student) is established. The Contacts function is used to view, modify, add, or delete the Contacts associated with prospect, applicant or student records in the SMS module of COSMOS. Using the ANSE Academic role, users will be able to apply what they learn by adding & updating Contacts on sample prospect and applicant records during the training.
SAS Basic -- An overview of the Financial Aid data using the SAS (Student Aid System) Basic role in COSMOS. This role is a view only role so there is no updating of data involved. Users are shown how to find out if a student has been awarded financial aid, what type of aid (i.e. grants, loans, etc.) was awarded, the amount awarded and if the aid has been disbursed, etc.
